Operating System
When talking about the operating system, the meaning of operating is the
system or software that run the computer that manages the memory and processes
of the user computer. Not only that it also use for the software and hardware
of the user computer. Where the uses of this operating is it communicate with
the user computer itself. Therefore, if the user don’t have any operating
system on the computer it will be useless for them due to the computer will cannot
run without operating system. As a result, the most popular and use operating
in computer side will be 3 of them that are Window, macOS and Linux. Those
three operating very well-known.
Microsoft Window and macOS: The first operating system on the list will be Microsoft Window. This operating
is on of the common and popular operating system in the world, where it can be
use for any kind of computer or laptop except for Macs where it run by macOS.
Therefore, in terms of the uses it have the same uses like macOS because of the
only differences will be in terms the design, style features of the operating system.
Which the uses is to allow the user to complete their everyday task which are
for example research, photo editing, typing letter, playing games, listen to
music and much more. Both of this operating system give access productivity
tools such as word processor, presentation slide and more. On Figure.7
below shows both of Microsoft Window and macOS logo, which the macOS will be a
Apple logo while window is more into a square shape type of logo. However, even
though both of operating system have similar uses, but it still be difficult
for the macOS user in terms of sending software from window user, because some
of it the macOS will have problem to install or receive the file.
Linux: For the next
operating system will be Linux, this operating system is free and open-source
type. Which means it not only can use for in computers only but also for the
household appliances such as Television, smart watches and more. Where this
operating system also design to work out of the box. Moreover, this operating
also comes with fully equipped and apps that most people need for. This operating
also uses for productivity tools such as word processor, spreadsheets, creating
presentation and more. Where it easily import from Microsoft Office or export
to PDF. This operating system also uses for gaming due to it have access more
than 7,800 games. Furthermore, it also use for watching movies listening music
and more. Where in conclusion, it clearly seen that three of them have the
similar uses but with different operating system which they have they own specialists
such as for Linux it only use for computer and laptop but also use for variety
household appliances due to it open-source. In Figure.8 below show the
logo of Linux which is penguin logo.
